down time

so ... this week i worked 2 whole days. thats right ... 2. tyler has started to bug me about picking up more hours. i will ... eventually. anyway, my classes ended last week and tyler actually DID work a lot so i found myself with quite a bit of 'down time.' the downtown library here is a pretty rad place. as far as architecture and buildings go. i got myself a card and i managed to fly through 2 novels already. knowing that i will have more down time coming up over the next month and a half at least i need some recommendations for 'best books ever.' i just finished 'persuasion' by jane austen (rice family- aren't you proud of me?) and ' forgotten fire' by adam bagdasarian (historical fiction about the holocaust ... a topic i find fascinating). anyway, i know i have plenty of blogging friends with opinions on books. let me know some of your favorites!

Hmmm...I just finished The Book Thief, that's about WWII & it was great. Also, if you haven't read Twilight you HAVE TO. All 4 of them. And I loved Les Miserables, all the Harry Potter books, Mere Christianity, The Host, Deception Point, The Peacegiver, Count of Monte Cristo, Emma, The Other Boleyn Girl, I think those are all the books I've read in the past 6 months or so. They were all good. hehe.

I don't know you Diana, but I like you! I would also add Pride and Prejudice, Hunger Games (Jen found this one)or Gone With the Wind. You are a lucky girl, so many classics to choose from!

Katie and Tyler! HA! I found you! :) (And were you in a car accident? How did I not know that??) Love the blog and I would recommend North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. The library didn't have it so I requested that they buy it and they did! Pride and Prejudice has been a fav of mine since college, but this one is VERY close behind. maybe even neck and neck...
